An invoice provides a detailed account of the products or service and a set of other information. It can vary a bit depending on the requirements in the country the invoice is issued and the type of product or service being sold. While a packing list is a document which details the contents, quantities, carton count of the shipped product, and often dimensions and weight, of each package or container. It serves to inform all parties involved with shipping, including transport agencies, government authorities, and customers, about the contents of the package. Freight Forwarders Applaud NSC On Ease Of Doing Business

Freight forwarders have expressed satisfaction with the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) on policies and projects being promoted by the ports economic regulator which are targeted at achieving ease of doing business at the ports.

Interface with service providers and customs service commands by the Council leadership and management staff on ease of doing business have  impacted positively on services at the ports.

SON Moves to Enforce Compliance With Gas Cylinder Import Procedure

The Standards Organization of Nigeria says it will guarantee that the procedure for the importation of gas cylinders and other related items are strictly enforced and followed in the country.

The director of Inspectorate and Compliance, Engr Bede Obayi,, who disclosed this during the unveiling of two container loads of substandard gas cylinders, worth N50 million, also said shippers of gas cylinders would be made to follow the regulatory guidelines as a way of averting danger in the country.

How NCS Uncovered 200 parcels of Cocaine After 42days of Intelligence Profiling at Tin Can Port

More facts have emerged on how the Tin-can Island Command of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), a revenue collector for import, excise duties and taxes, effected the seizure of 200 parcels of cocaine (a strong stimulant) allegedly imported alongside 'Virgin Cellulose Tassma for concrete application'. The exercise came after a 42 days of strategic planning and intelligence profiling.

The Command had earlier declared that the cocaine weighing 214.732kg, was the highest volume seized in the nation in 10 years. It was intercepted in one of the 17×20 container No CMAU 045195/0 said to contain 'Virgin Cellulose Tassma for cement application' belonging to Nigerite Nigeria Limited, and which Elevation Transaction Limited was the agent.
