For Door-to-door delivery service & Value safety, Click here

One of the most frequently asked questions from shippers and or importers is "how safe are my goods being shipped to Lagos?"
Money does not grow on trees and as such, is not easy to get, and that is why we all like to take caution in the way and manner we utilize our hard-earned income or resources.
It is important to note that the world we live in is valuable; our life, properties and family. And the safety of these values must be considered first in our priority list. This is why we make sure that we take all necessary cautions as we move our values from one geographical location to another. And until we confirm its safe arrival or delivery, we’re in a nightmare.

But first, read this information "There are improved designs / Import plans that would help you succeed, and develop your international trade / shipping this month. Maybe you should first GET FREE QUOTE OR Select the better plan for your next Shipping to Nigeria"

Mentioned below are a number of stake holders, whose responsibilities, (singular or joint) among others are to handle, secure, protect and safely deliver your goods.
STAKE HOLDERS
* Individual Baggage owner
* Shipper/freight Forwarders
* Carrier/Airline
* Aviation handling Company
* Customs Licensed Clearing Agent
* Logistics Providers

Shipper or Importer: As a shipper or importer, it is your responsibility to ask as many questions as possible from your forwarding agent as regards; available packaging techniques, insurance policy, H.S code of the country where your goods are going, including information on goods allowed for importation and restricted for importation goods.

Shipper or Freight Forwarders: A reliable and responsible shipper or forwarder already knows and understand all the intricacies involved. He must provide you with all the requirements for safe arrival and secured delivery. It is also his responsibility to provide you with experienced, yet cheaper clearing agent in the country where your goods are going, including Form “M” (if required), provide applicable packaging techniques (as a Nigeria base freight Forwarders would), offer pocket friendly budget and free pre-shipment consultation when you request for a free Shipping and freight rates to Nigeria.

Carrier  or Airline: Most Cargo Airlines are insured. Let your Shipper/forwarding agent deal directly with airline/carriers. This is good for you in case your goods/consignment short-landed or travel in-transit. If any of these unusual circumstances occurs, it is the responsibility of your agent to mediate and ensure that your consignment gets to your destination complete and secure.

Aviation Handling Company: This is usually a Government agency or public establishment saddled with the responsibilities not limited to the following; processing import and export documentations to meet the state statutory requirements, receive and handle imported goods/consignments in conformity with national and international handling standard, work hand in-hand with airlines in the area of air logistic, ensure safety of imported goods into the country, create an enabling environment for other government agencies, e.g. Anti-bomb, Money Laundry Unit, State Security, Anti-drug Agency, Customs and licensed Customs Clearing Agent to operate as provided by Law. Core values of Nigeria aviation handling company are; safety, integrity, reliability, innovation and respect for the individual.

Customs Licensed Clearing Agent: His duty is to collect document as directed by you or your forwarding agent, he will also pay for your freight in case you did not pay for it.
(Important Note: Airline will not release any document without confirmation of freight payment). Your agent will process other follow up documentations through Aviation Handling Company advice section, plus he will process and pay customs duty fee (if applicable), then he will process Port clearance in stages or steps. Some clearing agents enjoy high level of cooperation from airlines and handling company to offer FREE track/trace and monitor of imported goods/consignment from Air-craft up to the Port Warehouse.

Local Logistics Provider: There are many reliable logistic companies out there for land, sea, and air and rail transportation. Your package tag will help the logistic company in understanding consignment description. For example, fragile means your goods are breakable and should be handled with extra care. Some consignments are temperature sensitive, so be sure to disclose the complete descriptions of your goods to your forwarding agent so he can understand its safety requirements, and alert all stake holders.

I am sure this information will help you to erase any initial doubt as regards safe delivery of your imported goods/consignments into Nigeria. Let me also hint you that there is an existing law in Nigeria that gives consignee every right to claim damages or refund from any of the stake holders stated above.
