China to Resume Shipping to Nigeria After New Year Holidays

All Chinese Businesses are to observe annual holidays popularly called Chinese new year.

2017 Chinese New Year celebrations, also known as the Spring Festival, is to start on 28th of January and will last for 23 days. 

Public and private organizations have queued behind the government's authority by going on holidays, thereby suspending all their activities till the proposed resumption date.

Also, most freight forwarders in China are observing these holidays. VHI Cargo and Logistics China office and other freight forwarders in China have also released their Holiday time table.

According to information released by Mr. Andy, a senior manager in charge of Export from China to Nigeria with VHI cargo China, "from 20th of January to 7th of Feb which amount to exactly 19 days, Consolidation and groupage (LCL) receiving facilities in China will be closed".

NOTE: All cargoes that arrives at the facility before or on Friday 20th January will be shipped out of China, subsequent ones as from next week will not be accepted as activities will resume back after the celebration on 7th of Feb.

Chinese New Year celebrations, also known as the Spring Festival, in China start on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. The festival lasts for about 23 days, ending on the 15th day of the first lunar month in the following year in the Chinese calendar.
