HANDLING CHARGES INCREMENTS- NAHCO START IMPLEMENTATION ON MONDAY! Stake Holders Hang Operations. Shipments Clearance to Suffer
Some times at the beginning of year 2012, there had been rumor and speculations that Nahco in planing to increase her handling charges from her initial price. Different information and speculations were all over on what percentage. While some said the increment might go up by 100- 200, some were of 300 percent increment is likely. Of cause there had been news paper reports on this speculation.
At about noon, On Monday, 18th June 2012, stake holders, Agents,
and other relevant agencies were served with circular which contents
informed everybody the beginning of implementation of the new Handling
Charge/rate.
Nahco handling Charges had been increased by 37%.
The reasons stated in the Memo for the increment was not cogent to
people's satisfaction, hence All Agents decide to ground operations
since Tuesday (the following day.)
Many stake holders were of the opinion that Nahco made a lot of
money during her last business year. In fact is always gaining in recent
time. Some made reference to the urge Dividends it announce to her
shareholders during the last financial year. Majority were ill-bent to
agreeing to endorse the new rate.
